Julip let us sleep in till about 8:50ish before she knocked, knocked, knocked on her door and said, "Momma, I'm awake! I'm awake now!" And after cuddling a little longer, I opened her door, scooped her up, and put her in our bed. Immediately little Jubie girl starts naming off her "needs". "I need some almonds. I need my juice. I need raisins for sleeping in my bed. I need some peanuts." (The girl loves eating nuts...) So before I can even crawl back in with her and daddy, I fetch her starving self some snack after making her say please and begin brewing our coffee.
Then our morning starts rolling. Dustin jumps in the shower, Julip bounces on our bed "like Dory jumps on the jelly fish- boing, boing, boing" (the girl loves Nemo), and I start making breakfast. This morning it was fried eggs and toast- the usual. Dustin grabs his coffee and heads out the door after getting kisses and hugs from two of his girls.
Where's Eloise during all of this? That little person is a sleepy head. She sleeps and sleeps and sleeps. This morning we ate our breakfast, drank our coffee (Julip beeeeeeeegs for some of my coffee... and she usually gets at least a few sips... she is so our child), and watched our favorite kid show- Sid the Science Kid. (I love this show! The characters and their voices are strange, but what the show is about is solid. Julip really enjoys it, but probably not as much as me, ha.) Finally at 11:03 we heard the little Ewaleasy chirping. Finally.
So we both ran upstairs, scooped her up, and I nursed her while Julip played with some of her toys. Then we got ready for a long walk. We live near lots of neat places like a butcher shop, a flower shop, the library, multiple grocery stores... doesn't that sound nice? Well it is, except for one major problem... They are all on major, busy, loud, ugly roads... sigh. We try to bring more of Europe into our daily life, but it just isn't the same. :)
This morning, we had a coupon for free meat (awesome, right?) at the local butcher and after asking about grassfed animals, we picked between elk and bison... I hope bison burgers will be appetizing! :) Then we walked to the flower shop and picked up a beautiful mum. We dropped off the meat and mum by the house and walked a little further to the library. I'm not a big fan of our library, but we found a few books that looked sweet and stopped by the garden on the way back home.
Sisters! The flowershop owner asked if they were twins... twins? Really? No, ha. See the mum on top of the stroller? :)
bahaha Julip's hair was standing up!
We read a little, rolled a little, and picked a few apples, tomatoes, and edamame beans. And after all that, it was time for a nap. So we headed home. Little Lula and I kissed Jubie night night and then off to sleep Eloise went, too. Now I'm sitting down, eating a caprese salad, and putting off the laundry pile needing to be folded.
Jubie was off to pick herself an apple!
Our generous landlord said we could pick as many as we could eat. He grows granny smith, red delicious, jonathan, and a few other. They are delicious!
Reading in the grass under a shade tree... lovely.
She says, "Want me to do it again?"
Our summer garden is ending and our fall garden is beginning... you're looking at tons of tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, lettuce, and more lettuce, kale, brussel sprouts, peanuts and edamame. Oh, and a Jubie-girl!
And there she goes! off again!
Life is not always this pleasant, believe me. But you know what? I really love the life I get to live. Have you had a nice day so far, too?
with love,
Caro
P.S. Maybe one day I'll post a day that isn't going so well, haha!

Sweet, sweet, sweet! I love this post! (I think I always say that!) So thankful that you can stay home and nurture your babies!!! I miss you all so much!!
Love,
Momma
I wish you guys lived closer so we could hang out, and Haley and Julip could be buds. They would have a blast reading books together for hours.
