Happy New Year's!

Here is last year's celebration (that was surprisingly similar to this year's ha)

How did you celebrate the New Year? We just had a small family celebration. We nibbled on some fancy cheese and crackers. We dimmed the lights and lit some candles (Dustin actually did that while I was cooking. What a special idea). I cooked a "husband-friendly" meal, which means meat and potatoes (and salad for some greens).

My sweet lovies!

You can't forget about the German mustard. It is a must with "husband-friendly" meals! :)

Julip "forces" us to pray with her multiple times throughout our meals. She'll grab our hands and yell, "AMEN!" until we oblige! ha

Like the chandelier we painted red and hung yesterday? it was free to us, yay!

We put little Jubie to bed and told her we wouldn't see her until next year.  Then we cuddled in bed with some chocolate and watched Midnight in Paris. I highly recommend this movie! It was such a great film. By the time the story was finished, the clock hit 12 and it was a new year!

What a lovely, special night! We have been thinking about resolutions so I'll share a few:

1. Pray more as a family- This is so important and needed

2. Unplug the TV- (I think Dustin just turns it on by habit when he gets home, so we're going to unplug it from the wall, ha)

3. Go wireless around 9 pm- otherwise, we'll stay on the internet for far too long doing absolutely nothing important

4. Read more- to Julip, for pleasure, just because

5. Keep up with ironing- If we ever had marital problems, it would be because I cannot keep up with ironing, ahh!:)

and lastly....

6. Exercise- we eat healthy, but neither of us exercise other than the random pullups D does at work and me chasing after a toddler. We want to sleep less (most people don't have that problem, ha) and exercise in the mornings. Dustin will either run or lift weights/pushups/pull-ups and I'll do yoga!

To a new year full of love, a new baby, and many new memories!

Love,
caro

How did you celebrate your new year? Have you made any resolutions?
