20 Months Old. That's Old!

Our little baby Julip girl is no longer a baby! Today she is 20 months old. And if you missed our big announcement yesterday, she'll be a big sister in just six months!

 Look at that little face!

She is growing and growing so much! I'm not sure on her stats but she is definitely taller than last month and she definitely weighs more, too.  She can reach onto counters and scare momma when she grabs a knife or nearly touches a hot stove top. She can climb on and off of the couches and almost onto the bed. Surprisingly enough, she still has not attempted to climb out of her crib yet. I think she likes sleeping too much.

I think she looks so long here. Especially if you compare her to Dustin's long torso.

She is still sleeping so much. That is like her hobby or something. She goes to sleep somewhere around 7ish and sleeps till around 8:30ish in the morning. Then she takes a nap around 11:30 until about 2ish and another short nap around 430ish until about 530ish. She's a sleeping machine! Regularly, when I'm hugging her at night telling her how much I love her, she'll interrupt and say, "Ni-ni momma" and point for me to put her in her crib. It always makes me laugh (and squeeze her more).

Running around in the leaves.

Julip does this super cute thing where she swings one arm while she walks. It's hilarious!

Planning her escape to the secret garden.

Maybe she's dreaming about talking because she loves to talk. Most of the time, she speaks in her own little language. She'll speak in full sentences as if she really is saying something to us. She can say about 40 words though: daddy, momma/y, Tutu (SuSu), Mimi, Bobo, puppy, bunny, squ (squirrel), ducky, cow, gaga (which means down), down (I don't know why she still says gaga), wata (water), duse (juice), no, nein (German for no), yay, bubba (bubbles), belbutt (belly button), eye, nose, thank you (one of the clearest words she can pronounce!), yellow, purpa (purple), blue, teese (cheese), pees (please), cacker (cracker), go-go-go, I lah u (I love you-very rarely said), ala (Alabama), shoe (probably her favorite word), ball, uh (up), book, phone, babee (baby), bye bye, ni-ni, poo, and that's all I can think of right now! We are working on numbers and letters.

So glad a ball can make her so happy!

No matter what temperature it is outside, she has to go touch the sprinkler.

And of course get  a little wet. :)

She still loves peanut butter. She eats so much it makes me nauseous, which I guess isn't so hard since I'm still in the first trimester. She also loves cheese, eggs, bread, crackers, grapes, apples, sunflower seeds... and that's pretty much it. We try and try to get her to eat veggies and she just won't have it. I even make delicious smoothies and she'll only take a few sips. We're working on it, but there is only so much we can do. We are continuing to offer her everything we eat including meat, veggies, and fruits but no sweets. Julip is pretty much a sugar-virgin.  She is still nursing three times a day, so basically I'm eating for three! :)

Swinging with momma in the hammock. So nice in this Fall weather.

Sweet baby girl.

See, she loves hugging.

She loves to read books! She brings me books all day and I love it! I'm hoping she'll always be a reader. She loves to dance to music. She loves giving hugs and kisses (all day long! It is so so sweet)! She loves watching Muzzy (a German language program for children. Fun fact: I learned German from watching it when I was about three). She loves drinking milk. She loves being around people. She loves seeing herself in pictures, on videos, and in the mirror. She loves mimicking me by putting on makeup, brushing her hair, brushing her teeth, and moving things around (I'm cleaning... she's... making a mess). She loves carrying around her purses (she makes anything with a handle a purse) and loves putting things inside. She loves riding on the bicycle. And I love her!

Watching the Cardinals! Go Cards!

Kissing the momma! I can assure you, we get our sugar fill! :)

with lots of love,
caro, xoxo
