First family Cardinals game!
Do you see how the field ALSO has an arch? Genius!
As we are gleefully finding out, there is so much to see and do here in our new city! And on top of that, most things are FREE! Yes, you read that right! The
art museum- free, the
history museum- fareee, the
botanical gardens- frei (German), the
zoo- reefay (pig-latin), and even the gi-normous park,
Forest Park, that is bigger than
Central Park is fa-fa-fa-freee! They have all types of things going on from movies to plays, musicals to farmers markets! Did I mention that we love it here?
Waiting for the link. Seconds after this picture, Julip climbed in a strangers lap and sat with the nice lady for about 30 minutes! She knows no strangers. We have a lot to learn!
She loved watching all the people and zipping through the city!
There is one more awesome aspect of the city that I didn't mention... St. Louis is the home of the
Cardinals Baseball Team! And although tickets are not free, Dustin was given free tickets as an "initiation" into the city! I like his new job!
In front of the city's treasure!
Wednesday, after Jubie's nap, we dressed in our Card's gear and headed to the
MetroLink (public transportation... cool, huh? ). EVERYONE was going to the game and decked out in their red attire and bird logos. We fit right in wearing our jerseys and baseball caps!
It was Mississippi weather, for sure!
Who can go to a game without getting a beer and peanuts. Well, let me rephrase that: who would
want to go to a game without beer and peanuts! We had such a great time and didn't stay to see the loosing scoreboard.
Bud (aren't they the bad guys?) and peanuts and hot dogs and deliciousness!
We also went to the zoo recently. My mom would always take us to the zoo so we could "see our cousins", as she would say! (And just to be clear, we don't mean that in any weird evolution way.)
She looks a little unsure about meeting new family members...
At the entrance of the zoo!
Julip has never met her silly cousins so she was finally initiated into the family! We will be going to the zoo weekly, might I add!
See the chimp? He was eating broccoli. He'd fit right in at our house!
What strange creatures...
What strange creatures... just kidding! :)
Fun fact: I've ALWAYS wanted to be a zoo keeper. I think I still might be when I grow up!
St. Louis is awesome! Come visit us! We might take you to a game and/or the zoo, too!
Love,
Caro, xoxo

I love this post!!! It was my sweet daddy who often took us children to the zoo on Sunday afternoons to see our "cousins"! He got a big kick out of the monkeys and baboons! I HAD to teach my children about their cousins too!
Wow! What a great time ya'll are having! Julip is looking so grown up. I love her in the hat!
Sold, We will definitely come visit sometime. I love the Zoo and Haley needs to see her buddy again.
