Its Time Has Come (and Gone)

Oh yes, I do realize I promised a post about our trip to Europe... and our trip has come and gone (as your interest probably has, too). But to keep my word, let me present the best vacation ever (at least that we've ever had!)

I need to first start by sharing some background info. When I was young, my family packed all our THINGS up and hopped the pond over to Germany where we spent a few years living as, well, Germans. Most of my earliest memories are of my brother Davis and I feeding the chickens in our backyard, learning to ski down the Alpine slopes, and walking to our kindergarten every morning (rain or shine, snow or ice! but momma would pull us in a sled if there was snow...thanks Mom). Needless to say, I have wonderful memories of growing up in Germany. I even feel like sometimes those are the only memories I have of childhood...

I never knew I would have the opportunity to travel back to the land I love and especially not with my future husband and daughter!

Thanks to Mimi and Bobo, we were invited to join them, and Uncle Eric, on their vacation to Germany and Austria for two weeks full of delicious food, soothing espresso, and real bread and beer that actually bites back! (Yes........we ate a lot!)

We also visited many sites and cities, towns and lakes. We stayed in cozy houses, apartments, and hotels. Did I mention that we ate incredible foods?!

But most of our time was spent loving on Julibelle! (I'm convinced this is the real reason we were even invited, wink!)

Have I ever mentioned that I love my family?
