little sister

Friends! It's been too long! As much as I have wanted to update everyone on life, I've just been enjoying life these days and put the blog on the back burner a bit. But I've missed this little place here...

We almost never get a picture together, so Thanks Mirror.

I cannot even begin to tell you the love I have for little Eloise. She just hangs out contently most of the time... as long as she's well fed, she'll go wherever whenever as happy as can be (or rather as asleep as can be). She goes along for a ride in my wrap or ergo baby most of the time and just takes the world in. I've loved the closeness we get from wearing her always. I will cherish this forever.

I may be totally wrong, but I kinda have a feeling that she's going to have a really sweet, calm disposition and be very easy going. Maybe we can do yoga together one day!

Dustin nicknamed her Ebadese. It's the only little name that's stuck, so far. (He was the one to nickname Julip Jubie, too). I'm sure many other names will come along, but for now Ebadese it is...

She's showing her big sister her new skiiilzzz...

She rarely wears clothes (it's just so hot we have a clothing optional policy till Fall), but when she does, it's sweet to see her in Julip's former tiny outfits!

My tiny baby... please look closely right above her temple. That's her sweet little birth mark. I just love it!

just LOOK at Julip's sweet smile! And Little Eloise's alert eyes! :)

I just love my girls. Julip is still being a sweet little momma. She helps me all day long and says, "See, I'm helping, mommy!" Eloise has accedentally been hugged to tightly, squished by excitement, and nearly picked up by her eager big sister, but thankfully so far we have avoided any malicious actions. Eloise seems to already expect to be squeezed or have Julip scream, "I LUERVS YOU" in her face... needless to say, we're working on being gentle and calm around Eloise!

Eloise seems to be thriving. She nurses like a pro and sleeps like a champ. We did battle thrush recently, which for me was miserable. Eloise only seemed to suffer with a diaper rash and thankfully we have beaten that bad yeast. Eloise seems to be very yeasty... like a loaf of bread. For those interested, we beat the yeast by multiple natural treatments. I started eating more probiotics (fermented foods), we used a thrush cream basically containing grape root and calendula flower oil, and I used gentian violet which I believe did the trick! Thrush is no joke, let me tell you. I'm just thankful it is gone.

Baby noises! When I asked if she could smile she was probably like, "What do you mean, 'Can I smile'. I'm working hard here lifting half of my body weight up off the floor. I don't even have a real neck. Give me a break!" haha

She's started smiling and cooing and it makes my heart melt into a puddle on the floor. I love newborns... I already want more! :)

I cannot believe we've already been with her two and a half months.

with love,
momma caro
