They Come From a Land Far Far Away

Every Wednesday, Julip and I meet our friend Kate at the Maplewood Farmer's Market to get some yummies. We usually pick up our farm fresh organic, free range eggs (that have golden yolks and delicious flavor), some spinach or greens, and even a home baked macaroon or chocolate treat! Every once in a while Dustin is able to join us! Recently, we shopped at the market and then ate at Schlafley Bottleworks. Delicious!

They have their own organic garden adjacent to the brewery. Ummm, cool!? AWESOME!

This just might be my new favorite picture of my lovely hubby and baby birdie!

Look at those sweet green eyes!

And then this past week, our family came from far far away! Uncle Davis and Aunt Anna were able to stop in St Louis TWICE traveling to and fro for a friend's wedding. How happy we were to have them spend a week with us! (They helped clean my kitchen every night!)

We also went to the Farmer's Market and brewery!

I ordered a bison pizza and Davis got sausage! cheese! and roasted garlic, a true Ron Swanson meal!

And Julip was so kind to pay for dinner...

just kidding... what a relief :)

We also explored St Louis and got delicious cupcakes

And walked, talked, and ate more cupcakes! We were in official cupcake-coma! (Davis and Anna's best friend actually lives in St Louis and works at the cupcake place!)

And to finish their visit, they taught us how to make sushi! We had a huge meal of delicious suchi-sandwiches and made lovely memories.

We also watched lots of Wild China and now I really want to go to that amazing part of the world! (If you have Netflix, watch Wild China!) We were sad to see them go, but we hope to visit them soon in Colorado!

Sidenote: We didn't just eat the entire time. We also went to the zoo, arch, and experienced a semi-tornado! Anyone else want to visit?

Love,
Davis' lil sister, Caroline

Caroline, this looks like so much fun! I loved your comment on my blog about all your new opportunities in St. Louis. I'm so glad you're becoming a midwife--what an incredible profession. It's such a blessing to live in a state where life is healthy and good. It makes me sad for the other states who aren't on board yet, you know?
